A little bit about Holly....
Holly is currently teaching 6th through 12th grades at Pittsburgh CAPA, an arts magnet school. Her courses include introductions to scene design, prop design, and scenic painting. So far, her students enjoy mixing mysterious paint colors and designing sets that challenge physics the most!
Previously, she has taught at the College of Wooster and Missouri Western State University where she was also the Production Manager and adviser for the stage management program. Before moving to teaching, Holly was the Resident Scenic Designer and Painter for the Barter Players, a year-round theatre for youth group that operates under the organizational umbrella of Barter Theatre, the State Theatre of Virginia.
Holly holds an MFA in Scenic Design from Kent State University in Kent, OH. Prior to that, she worked as a Props Artisan and Carpenter for Syracuse Stage, a LORT C Company in Syracuse, NY. Additionally, she holds a BFA in Design/Technical Theatre from Syracuse University.
